In March, 2007 I returned from Niger in West Africa where
I had been doing medical work among the nomads. I was overwhelmed
with all the need, especially the most primal ones of water
and food.
I have six arms and three breasts because two arms and two
breasts are not enough for all the work there is to do. I
look in three directions to make sure I see everything. In
the drawing are Tuareg and Wodaabe nomads with their camels
and cows. They have come to collect water from the wells we
have dug and to receive food aid during the drought.
More powerful than the need is Universal Love which supports
and sustains all, as symbolized by the hearts which form pillars
of support, and encircling chains of compassion and protection.
Mother Earth offers up her support to me as well and my faithful
spirit dog Rhodo arrives nestled in the arms of the universe
bearing yet more love.
